Most questions have an answer a command away.
Start with the agent. slate doctor checks the machine, the keyring and the service, and says what to do about each red line. slate status says what it is paired with.
Then the docs. Every place in the console and every command is in the docs, and the console's Help (press ?) shows the same pages.
