Overview

Overview is the first place: the state of your workspace at a glance.

Until an agent is paired there is nothing to show, and Overview says so. Its one action, Pair an agent, shows the command to run on the machine (slate login).

Once one is paired:

  • Agents counts how many are connected now (running slate serve) of those paired; Connections counts them by tier; Recent calls says how many of the latest calls were denied.
  • Needs you lists what only a person can fix, each with the place that answers it: no agent paired yet, an agent that is not connected (so nothing through the workspace reaches it), a probe that failed and what it said, no connection yet, and a policy edited and not yet published. When nothing does, it says so.
  • Connections lists each one with its kind, its tier, whether it answered its last probe, and its agent. A revoked agent's connections are left out.
  • Recent calls are the newest twenty calls through the workspace: when, the tool, the connection, the tier, who asked, and how it went (ok, an error, denied at the gateway, or denied on the agent). Hold the pointer on the outcome for the reason.
